Andrej Bošnjak

This August I joined Montana Aerospace as an engineering and strategy intern. In September I start at AeroDelft as an electronics engineer on the Sling 4 hydrogen retrofit, working on high and low power electronics and aircraft control management alongside my degree.

I study Aerospace Engineering at TU Delft. I build embedded systems, control and signal-processing pipelines, and quantitative models. Recent projects include a real-time LiDAR tracking gimbal, an algorithmic trading system, and a housing platform I co-founded for Delft's rental market.

Outside of that I read a lot, love to run and go to the gym, and recently picked up golf after years of competitive basketball. I speak four languages and am learning a fifth, and spend a fair amount of time turning half-finished projects into slightly-more-finished projects.

  1. LiDAR Tracking Gimbal

    2026 —

    Real-time 3D object tracker. An Arducam ToF camera on a Raspberry Pi detects targets and streams positions to an ESP32-driven pan/tilt gimbal over UART. Multi-object Kalman tracking with accelerometer-based state prediction compensates for sensor latency; dual-axis PID closes the loop.

  2. IMC Prosperity 4

    2026

    Algorithmic trading system for IMC Prosperity 4. Placed 9th of 500+ teams nationally in qualifiers and 7th in the finals. Multi-instrument strategies across market making, relative value, and cross-product arbitrage, with Kalman/EMA fair-value estimation, implied-vol smile fitting, and explicit inventory controls.

  3. Delft Dibs

    2026 —

    Co-founded a housing platform for Delft's competitive student rental market. Scrapes and normalises listings from 11 rental sites through a FastAPI/PostgreSQL backend. The core feature is an OLS relative-value model that assigns a live deal score to every listing.

    2026

    Built at HackDelft 2026 for the Revolut AI Challenge. A privacy-first financial intelligence platform for bank statement exports: ingestion, deduplication, analytics, subscription detection, AI-assisted querying, and PDF reporting. The categorisation pipeline pairs e5-large embeddings with a dense neural classifier over transaction text, amount, and time features, reaching 95.7% top-1 accuracy on real data.

    Open-source course intelligence platform for TU Delft bachelor students. Browse a programme's full curriculum as a structured grid and drill into each course for aggregated grades, workload estimates, and peer-written reviews.

  6. Audio Spectrogram Visualizer

    2026

    Interactive Fourier audio explorer. Real-time frequency-domain analysis with windowed FFT, streaming updates from live microphone input, WAV playback, band-pass filtering, and MP4/GIF spectrogram export.

    AI-assisted desktop workspace for hardware debugging. Connects to serial devices and pulls serial output, datasheet pinouts, project logs, and controlled diagnostic scripts into a single project context.

    Stochastic model of Bitcoin's proof-of-work mechanism: mining difficulty adjustment, hash rate dynamics, and reward distribution under varying network participation.
